F Film coating treatment: It is to coat a layer of PTFE film on the surface of the treated filter cloth.
5.Factors affecting the performance of glass fibers?
- Composition of glass fibers: The content of components such as silicon dioxide, aluminum oxide, alkali metal oxides, etc., directly affects the physical and chemical indicators such as heat resistance and corrosion resistance of glass fibers;
- Diameter of glass fibers: As is well known, the thinner the single fiber diameter of glass fibers, the better its folding resistance. We have concluded through experiments that the folding resistance of 5μm glass fibers is about 2.5 times higher than that of 9μm glass fibers, and the folding resistance of 3.8μm glass fibers is more than 5 times that of polyester. That is to say, purely from the perspective of folding resistance, after making them into cloth bags, their service life will differ by about 3-15 times.
- Post-treatment of glass fibers: The post-treatment of fibers is an important factor determining the final performance of the fibers. Excellent post-treatment formulas and processes will form a dense protective film on the fiber surface, improving the comprehensive performance of the fibers and products.

A 20-foot container can hold 48 rolls of filter cloth with a cut length of 230 meters per roll.
11.Why is film coating needed?
Due to the advantages of film-coated filter media, such as high filtration accuracy, smooth surface easy for dust removal, low dust removal pressure, water and oil repellent surface, long service life, and low operating costs, its application is becoming increasingly widespread. Meanwhile, high-end film-coated filter media have a high collection efficiency for PM10 (inhalable dust) and PM2.5 (respirable dust). Film-coated filter media primarily rely on surface filtration through microporous PTFE membranes, whereas ordinary filter media utilize powder cake filtration, belonging to the deep filtration mechanism. The micron-sized pore diameter of the membrane can capture nearly all dust particles in the dusty airflow, resulting in extremely high filtration efficiency. Due to the non-stick and hydrophobic properties of PTFE, dust removal is easy, and dust does not penetrate into the interior of the filter media. Therefore, it can ensure maximum airflow throughput without increasing operating resistance, making it an ideal high-temperature flue gas filtration material.
12.What is hot film coating?
The high-temperature hot film coating technology adopted for film-coated filter media bonds the PTFE emulsion mediator on the surface of the substrate with the PTFE membrane into a single unit under a semi-sintered state at 320°C. While ensuring absolute bonding strength, it also guarantees breathability. It can withstand a blasting pressure of 8kg without delamination.
13.What are the characteristics of film-coated filter media?
1、High filtration precision:
The small and uniform micropores on the surface can separate all dust particles larger than the diameter of the micropores, resulting in high and stable dust removal efficiency. Test results show that this filter media can achieve a collection efficiency of up to 97%-99% for particles with a diameter of 0.3μm, and the total collection efficiency can reach 99.99%, exceeding ordinary filter cloths by 1-2 orders of magnitude. It can achieve a filtration standard of 10mg/Nm³.
2、High porosity:
Although the micropores on the surface are tiny, they are densely packed, with a porosity of 80%-90%. There is no dust blockage inside the filter media, allowing a large volume of gas to pass through.
3、Easy dust removal:
The smooth and non-sticky surface of the PTFE membrane reduces dust accumulation, facilitating dust detachment. This can reduce the frequency of dust removal, extend the dust removal cycle, and save compressed air.
4、Low operating resistance and long service life:
The small amount of dust removal required for film-coated filter media reduces maintenance requirements for filter bags and extends their service life. Although the initial pressure drop of film-coated filter media is slightly higher than that of ordinary filter media, the system resistance increases slowly, allowing for long-term stable operation.
5、Water and oil repellent:
The surface is impermeable to water, preventing water from penetrating the membrane while allowing fully vaporized water mist or superheated steam to pass freely. With further surface treatment, film-coated filter media can filter dust with strong adhesion and even dust in smoke with humidity close to saturation.
- Oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance:
The PTFE microporous membrane has extremely high chemical stability, exhibiting excellent corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance.
